Osher Günsberg was in talks to appear on this year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Producers were eager to sign the 49-year-old TV host, but network’s top bosses ultimately deemed him ‘too risky’ for their flagship reality show, claims a source.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, a production insider claimed that Channel Ten had concerns Osher’s unfiltered opinions could land the show in hot water.
‘They felt he might say something that would blow up in their faces and create a PR nightmare,’ the source revealed.
The fear of backlash was evidently too great for Ten to take a chance on Günsberg, despite the potential ratings boost his involvement would undoubtedly bring.

‘It’s disappointing, because Osher would have been a fantastic addition to the cast, and his fan base would have followed him to the jungle,’ the source lamented.

According to the source, the TV host expressed interest for the show and said he would ‘absolutely do it’ and a six-figure sum was discussed, but the network ultimately decided against it.
Günsberg, known for his charm and quick wit, has been the face of The Bachelor since its inception in 2013.

Osher made a cameo appearance on the show back in 2017, to deliver ‘messages of love’ before Bachelor star Keira Maguire entered the jungle.
