Pastor Funke Adejumo Urges Men Not to Sacrifice Their Well-Being for Approval

Well-known pastor Funke Adejumo from Agape Christian Ministries has cautioned husbands against losing their individuality in efforts to please their wives, declaring that satisfying a woman’s every need is beyond any man’s reach.

During her sermon, the pastor explained that women are inherently inclined toward change and advancement, illustrating her point with examples from beauty practices and advising men not to burden themselves unnecessarily.

She highlighted that even God, who crafted women flawlessly, did not discourage them from seeking ways to enhance their appearance.

“To every husband, don’t stress yourself trying to make a woman completely happy. I speak this as a woman, knowing that satisfying a woman fully is unattainable,” she remarked.

Pastor Adejumo emphasized that women often modify their natural gifts despite their belief in being divinely created with beauty, serving as a reminder to men that reaching perfection is an unrealistic goal.

She encouraged husbands to love and care for their wives but warned against exhausting themselves in a bid to meet every expectation.

“God gave us natural nails, we cut them and put on artificial ones. He gave us natural hair, we remove it and wear wigs. If God cannot please us completely, who are you to think you can? she added.”

Her remarks have generated mixed reactions online. While some people agreed with her message and described it as practical marriage advice, others argued that healthy relationships require both partners to make sacrifices for each other.

The statement has continued to spark conversations on social media about marriage expectations, self-worth, and the pressure many spouses place on themselves to keep their partners happy.
