Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has finally addressed the controversial remarks made by Donald Trump regarding a potential military intervention in Nigeria.

Recently, Trump took to Truth Social to express his intent to confront Islamic terrorists allegedly responsible for the persecution and killings of Christians in Nigeria, stirring international attention and concern.

In his post, Trump reportedly instructed the US Department of War to begin preparations for a possible military response, indicating a serious stance on the matter.

Reacting to these developments, Peter Obi shared his thoughts in an extensive message on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. He voiced strong condemnation of the violence against Christians, calling for immediate and effective measures to combat such atrocities.

Peter Obi Reacts To Trump’s Threat

‎In a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), Peter Obi condemned the killings of Christians, emphasizing the need for intervention.

‎in his tweet, he criticized the APC government for lacking competence, commitment, and patriotism in governing Nigeria, stating that Trump’s threat is a concern for all well-meaning Nigerians.

‎The recent pronouncement by the US government declaring Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ (CPC) and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern.

Over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented, the unwarranted.

‎While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC APC-led government.
