Hollywood actor and photographer Brad Everett Young has died following a crash in Los Angeles.

The 46-year-old’s representative Paul Christensen told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched’.

Young died after a crash on the 134 Freeway, when his vehicle was hit by a car travelling the wrong way down the road, his representative has confirmed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, whilst the other motorist was rushed to hospital.

Young had roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Boy Meets World and Charlie’s Angels but in later years became well known as a red carpet photographer.

As a photographer his portfolio included shoots for The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, People and Variety, snapping the likes of Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Harbour along with the stars of various soap operas including Days Of Our Lives and General Hospital.

Chris McKenna, who plays Jack on General Hospital, paid tribute on Instagram with a series of photos taking by Young. The actor wrote: ‘These were taken just a couple weeks ago by the late @bradley206 we won’t see another like him.’

Parry Shan, another actor from General Hospital, said: ‘Brad Everett Young was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met.’

‘But the one trait that made him truly stand out in this business, often filled with cynicism, was his indomitable positivity.’

‘He was always striving to make the situation better.’

‘His excitement when pitching a fun idea to shoot was contagious. He also used his talents and platform to restore music and arts programs at schools with Dream Loud Official.’

‘A huge, huge loss. To those who met him at our events, you know. Rest in peace, friend.’

Lily Melgar, known for playing Lilly, on General Hospital added: ‘Rest in paradise, my love. My heart aches as I lose another friend. This is so incredibly tragic… My favorite photographer in L.A., my buddy — a good seed.’

Virginia-born Young came to Los Angeles with plans to attend medical school but decided instead to pursue acting.

‘L.A. was just the place where I could make those decisions with all the job opportunities the town offered,’ he said in a 2015 interview.

‘In the first month here, I went out on my first audition for a TV series, booked it, joined the Screen Actors Guild, and the rest was history.

‘I absolutely fell in love with everything in this business and the journey and strength it takes to accomplish what you want in it.’
