In the midst of swirling rumors, pop sensation Pink, also known as Alecia Beth Moore, and her husband, former motocross star Carey Hart, were said to be heading for a split after over two decades of marriage. This would have been the second separation for the couple since they first wed in January 2006. Nonetheless, Pink stepped forward to clarify the situation, denying any plans to separate from Hart despite the speculation. Here’s a closer look at their enduring relationship.
Pink corrected the rumors and said she and Carey Hart are not separating
Pink, now 46, and Carey Hart, who is 50, have not reached the end of their marital journey, as some reports suggested. The pair’s romantic story began in 2001 when they met at the X Games, sparking a connection that would lead to a lifelong partnership. By June 2005, Hart had proposed, and the couple exchanged vows in a picturesque ceremony in Costa Rica in January 2006.
The couple did experience a breakup in 2008 but found their way back to each other by 2009. Pink once remarked in 2013 that their relationship would “never be done,” particularly as they now share the joys and responsibilities of parenthood. On social media, Pink has candidly shared the highs and lows of their marriage, describing it as both “awful” and “wonderful” in the same breath.
Just before the February 2026 rumors of a split, Hart publicly celebrated his wife in a loving Instagram post in September 2025. He shared two photos: one of Pink standing next to an image of a young Billy Joel, and another capturing a heartfelt moment with their children, Willow and Jameson, during a concert.
“Happy b day mama!” Hart wrote in his affectionate post. “I’m incredibly proud of the woman you’ve become over the 24 years I’ve known you. You are an amazing mother, performer, wife, friend, businesswoman, philanthropist, role model, and all-around incredible human being. Like a fine wine, you only get better with time.”
“Happy b day mama!” Hart captioned the post at the time. “Very proud of the woman you have grown into over the last 24 years I have know you. Amazing mother, performer, wife, friend, business woman, philanthropist, role model, all around amazing human being. You are like a fine wine [sic].”
So, what’s really going on with Pink and Hart? Pink corrected the rumors by taking to Instagram and posting a clip of herself speaking out on the matter.
“I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband,” she said. “Thank you, People Magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly — thank you for letting me know. I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware. Or, do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism, or misogyny in sports, or how classy the women’s hockey team is? … Or, do you want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock & Roll motherf***in’ Hall of Fame? Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”
“So, fake news — I f***in’ hate that term,” she added.
