Another tumultuous season of Married at First Sight is drawing to a close. The second Chicago-set installment of the Lifetime reality series has featured some big twists, including an unprecedented cheating scandal and one early divorce. Heading into the show’s Feb. 25 Decision Day episode, only two couples are still together. But will either of those pairs decide to stay married? Or will this be another season where all the couples get divorced? 

The one ‘Married at First Sight’ Chicago couple we think will stay together 

Of the five Chicago couples who tied the knot at the beginning of MAFS Season 8, only two are still together: Karla and Juan and Camille and Thomas. (Emem and Ikechi finally agreed to end their disastrous marriage last week, and a partner-swapping scandal caused both David and Michelle and Madison and Allen to call it quits early.) But Camille and Thomas are the only ones who seem likely to say yes on Decision Day.

The experts thought Camille, 32, who works as director of operations for a haircare company would be the perfect spouse for Thomas, 42, who has a career in banking. Both were mature, family-focused individuals looking for someone with whom they could settle down and build a life together. 

“This is a woman who I believe, if we could match her, that she would make the relationship work,” Pastor Cal Roberson said when discussing why he thought Camille was the right fit for Married at First Sight. “I can’t see anything in Camille that a man would not want.”

As for Thomas, the experts thought he would be able to keep his partner’s needs in focus rather than just concentrating on himself. 

“He’s going to really care about what she needs, and he’s going to try to make that happen,” Dr. Pepper Schwartz said. 

So far, the experts’ instincts in this match have proved solid. While Camille and Thomas have had some bumps, including some difficult conversations about race, they’ve persevered through challenging moments. They treat each other with respect and share the same values and goals. They’ve also managed to nurture a solid romantic connection over the past eight weeks. While the other cast members have struggled, Camille and Thomas have only grown stronger as a couple. The odds are good that they’ll both say yes on Decision Day. 

Will Karla and Juan stay together?   

What about Karla and Juan, the only other season 18 couple who are still together? Since getting married two months ago, the pair’s relationship has been mostly smooth sailing. MAFS marriages are often characterized by conflict, as each partner struggles to adjust to life with their expert-picked spouse. But Karla and Juan have found a comfortable groove. They took a big step forward when she introduced him to her family, most of whom did not attend their wedding. And they’ve embraced each other’s quirks and sense of humor. Unfortunately, there’s one big thing that’s missing for Karla and Juan: a romantic spark. 

Juan, an ambitious entrepreneur, just isn’t feeling a physical connection to Karla, a hairstylist and spiritual healer. Yes, they’ve made some efforts to take their relationship to the next level, including a cringy session with a tantric yoga instructor. But the lack of intimacy in their marriage is a major problem. Chances are, they’ll both ask for a divorce on Decision Day. If they do decide to stay married, we predict they’ll split soon after filming ends and won’t be together for the upcoming reunion.  

Married at First Sight airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
