A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to cry out for justice after her heavily pregnant elder sister passed away following a brutal assault by her husband in Benin.

The tragic incident was shared via a post on X, formerly Twitter. In the video, the grieving woman narrated how her sister was severely beaten by her husband, which ultimately led to her death.

She revealed that upon hearing the news, she rushed to the police station to ensure the man’s arrest.

However, when officers arrived at his location, they were reportedly told to leave, with assurances that the man would turn himself in — a promise he has yet to fulfill.

In the heartbreaking video, the lady pleads for justice, saying: “My sister’s husband beat her to death with pregnancy. They said we can’t do anything. Police we called couldn’t arrest him. Please help me, I want justice for my sister.”

The clip also includes distressing visuals of her late sister—heavily pregnant and visibly injured—while she was still alive after the attack.

The post has since gone viral, prompting an outpouring of sympathy and outrage in the comment section from concerned Nigerians calling for justice.
