Preston Pippen, son of the well-known Larsa and Scottie Pippen, has opened up about the impact of his parents’ celebrity status on his upbringing, revealing how it almost deterred him from joining Netflix’s upcoming show, Calabasas Confidential.
In an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly, Preston, 24, shared that he seriously contemplated stepping back from the spotlight due to his mother’s past involvement with The Real Housewives of Miami. “There were definitely times I thought about not doing a reality show,” he confessed.
Reflecting on the public attention he received growing up, Preston noted, “There was a phase where I received a lot of negative attention because of my parents. I had to pause and consider if I was ready to handle that kind of scrutiny again. It was a real question I had to ask myself.”
Ultimately, Preston decided to embrace the opportunity, stating, “You just have to go with it. I’m a big boy now.”

“I think the obvious [piece of advice I got from my mom] is just like, ‘No matter how much you know your friends, once there’s a camera on you then everyone around you may act a little bit different,’” Preston shared with Us. “That’s what I took into this experience.”
Jodie also spoke with Us about what Jordyn told her about joining a reality show after her public drama with the Kardashian-Jenners.
“Honestly, I took away the same thing. My family said the same thing to me,” she added. “Also they said to always stay vigilant, be yourself and that’s the best thing to do.”
