Discover the surprising remark Prince George made upon encountering his late grandmother’s signature.
Prince William is devoted to preserving his mother Princess Diana’s legacy, a commitment he demonstrated by taking Prince George to The Passage, a homelessness charity that Princess Diana first introduced William to when he was a child.
On December 16, 2025, the Prince of Wales, accompanied by his eldest son, visited The Passage. Together, they participated in preparing Christmas meals for those facing homelessness.
The organization’s chief executive, Mick Clarke, said that was “a really important day, because it’s for people who perhaps won’t have a place that they can call home this Christmas.”
A poignant moment occurred when George signed the guestbook and saw Princess Diana’s signature.
The Daily Mail reported that the young royal was “fascinated” when he saw his late grandmother‘s writing and was heard saying, “Wow, okay.”
Over the years, Prince William has talked about different things he does to keep Diana’s memory alive for his children. He shared that he has photos of the late princess displayed around their house and when the kids talk about her, they refer to her as “Granny Diana.”
“It’s important they know who she was and that she existed,” William said. “I think, constantly talking about Granny Diana, so we’ve got more photos up round the house now of her and we talk about her a bit and stuff.”
