After her divorce from Elvis, Priscilla Presley began a relationship with Robert Kardashian. While things didn’t work out between them, Kardashian reportedly considered marriage with her. Though they went years without speaking, it seems that she was on his mind before his death. Priscilla revealed that Robert’s daughter, Kim Kardashian, reconnected them before his death.
Priscilla Presley was in a relationship with Robert Kardashian
Though Priscilla is most often linked to Elvis, she also had a meaningful relationship with Kardashian. Joan Esposito, the former wife of Elvis’ road manager, set the couple up.
“Joan decided that it would be a great idea to set up Robert with Priscilla,” wrote Kris Jenner in her book Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian. “Robert was instantly smitten with Priscilla and she apparently was smitten with him. They quickly moved in together.”
Kardashian was still in contact with his ex (and future wife) Kris Jenner, and Priscilla frequently took calls from Elvis. She said she tried to keep the details of her relationship from her former husband.
“Despite our divorce, he still couldn’t wrap his head around my being with someone else,” she wrote in her book Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis (via Rolling Stone). “He’d have gone ballistic, maybe literally, if he’d known Robert was in my bedroom.”
They remained together for several years before breaking up.

While both Kardashian and Priscilla went on to have other significant relationships, they both remembered each other fondly. They spoke on the phone one last time after he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2003.
“Priscilla Presley had been a big part of Robert’s life,” Jenner wrote in her book. “We facilitated a call between the two of them, and Priscilla was able to say goodbye.”
Priscilla recalled Kim Kardashian setting up the call, and she felt grateful that they were able to talk before his death.
“Robert and I had one last conversation before he died,” she wrote. “He was the kindest of men, and I remember him with great affection.”
Her friend claimed she wanted to marry him
Though Priscilla and Kardashian’s relationship came to an end, he reportedly could have been her second husband.
“Priscilla made Robert very happy,” his friend Joni Migdal said, per Page Six. “He wanted to marry her and have children with her. That was definitely his hope, his plan.”
According to those who knew Kardashian, though, Elvis came between the couple. He frequently called Priscilla, often at odd hours. He also didn’t want her to date because of their daughter, Lisa Marie, despite being in several other relationships. Priscilla also did not want to marry until Elvis was no longer a presence in her life.
“Look, I’m not going to marry anyone until Elvis dies,” she reportedly told Kardashian.
After they broke up, Kardashian went on to marry Jenner.
