Sofia Richie Grainge marks baby Eloise’s milestone birthday with sweet behind-the-scenes moments, delighting followers with rare photos of daughter Eloise’s first birthday party.

The model and new mother shared a carousel of images of Eloise’s special day on Instagram. She began her caption of the post, “A year ago today my little girl was born.”

“I didn’t realize her first birthday was going to be such a mix of emotion for me. On one hand it’s the most amazing, beautiful milestone. On the other hand I look back and realize those tiny little moments are something I’ll never get back. Watching her grow has been a gift. My greatest achievement will ALWAYS be her.”

“She has given me purpose, and I am nothing without her. Elliot and I couldn’t love anything in this life more. I don’t know what I did to deserve my little buggie, but all I know is my heaven is right here on earth with her, so beyond blessed,” she concluded.

The daughter of legendary entertainer Lionel Richie and Diane Alexander welcomed Eloise to the world on May 20, 2024. 

At the time, the new mother shared a sweet image on social media that featured her daughter‘s feet being cradled in her parents’ hands, “Eloise Samantha Grainge 5•20•24 best day of my life.”

Richie Grainge was very transparent and open about her pregnancy journey. In a previous interview with Vogue Magazine, the model detailed exactly when found out that she was pregnant and how the journey became a truly educational experience.

“I found out very, very early,” she said. “I was about four weeks pregnant. I was on a trip to Milan for fashion week, and I was going to the Prada show. I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it. I thought it was jet lag.”

To confirm her pregnancy, she took several pregnancy tests, initially keeping the news private to “protect” her space. “I’ve learned more in the past six months than I have in my entire life,” Richie told outlet at the time. “Pregnancy is really scary and you want to protect that space. I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take. For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”

Sofia and her husband, Elliot, were married in the South of France on April 22, 2023.
