NFL running back Ray Davis swapped his usual stadium attire for a more glamorous look on Thursday, making an appearance at the premiere of Hallmark Channel’s upcoming festive film, Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.

Davis was joined by several Buffalo Bills teammates at the November 13 premiere held at the Aurora Theatre in East Aurora, New York. Among the attendees were offensive tackle Dion Dawkins and defensive tackle DeWayne Carter, alongside former Bills player Steve Tasker and the team’s play-by-play announcer Chris Brown. All of them have cameo roles in the movie.

“Hey look, we’re Hallmark hunks, you hear me,” Dawkins quipped in one of the many videos Davis posted to Instagram from the event.

“We’re real deal movie stars,” Carter chimed in during another video. Speaking to Today, Carter hinted at possibly exploring more acting opportunities in the future.

“I mean, of course. You know, a fun fact about me—I’m actually a theatre minor,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, Davis was still pinching himself over the whole experience.

“It was insane. It was crazy, just to be able to even say I’m even in a movie,” he said.

‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ premieres November 22

East Aurora certainly rolled out the red carpet to celebrate the new movie. The premiere was preceded by a festive Peppermint Parade, with members of the Bills Mafia lining the street to catch a glimpse of Bills players and Hallmark stars. Filming for the movie took place in and around Buffalo earlier this year, with many fans stepping in as extras.

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story follows a pair of lifelong friends and Bills superfans (played by Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario) as they unravel a Christmas mystery, discovering their true feelings for each other in the process. The rest of the cast includes Joe Pantoliano, Tracy Pollan, Caroline Aron, Steve Schirripa, and Patti Murin.

In addition to the cameos from Davis, Dawkins, Carter, Tasker, and Brown, Bills coach Sean McDermott will also appear, as well as Damar Hamlin, Dawson Knox, Reid Ferguson, Joshua Palmer, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Scott Norwood, and Andre Reed.

Luke Russert also has a cameo, paying tribute to his late dad, newscaster Tim Russert, who was known for his love of the Bills.

“My father was a huge champion of Buffalo. He would absolutely love this,” Russert told WGRZ at the premiere. “The holidays are so special in Buffalo, and that was something deeply meaningful to our family.”

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story airs Sundays, November 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. It streams the next day on Hallmark+.
