There’s a timeless adage that insists you can’t keep a good person down, and it couldn’t be more accurate. However, I’d like to tweak it slightly. When it comes to The Traitors, it seems you can’t keep a fierce competitor away from the castle. Just ask Dorinda Medley.

After making her grand entrance into the Scottish Highlands estate led by host Alan Cumming in the third season, Dorinda was unceremoniously ousted by the Traitors — quite unfairly, I might add. But now, the Real Housewives of New York City alum is back for Season 4, ready to take on a fresh set of contestants. While some fans might have wished for another Real Housewives star to get a shot at unmasking the Traitors (or perhaps becoming one), just three episodes in, it’s apparent that bringing Dorinda back was a stroke of genius for the show.

For those familiar with Dorinda’s memorable moments on RHONY, it’s no shock that the woman who gave us the iconic “not well, bitch” meme and hosted her fellow Housewives with the unforgettable “made it nice” dinner knows how to thrive in the reality TV world. In a promo for Season 4, she cleverly alludes to her famous scenes, delivering a tagline and playfully reflecting on her Season 3 experience.

“Last time, I made it nice,” she quips in a video shared on her Instagram, “But this time, I’m back for revenge.” A perfect 10/10, Dorinda. No critiques needed.

In another promotional clip, Dorinda and Donna Kelce — mother of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce and a fellow Season 4 participant — share the screen. Dorinda approaches Donna’s sweet Midwestern persona with a healthy dose of skepticism, noting not only her belief in Donna’s potential for mischief but also her determination to avoid incurring the wrath of the Taylor Swift fanbase.

“Don’t let that nice, sweet lady fool ya, that lady could wreak havoc in the castle because no one is going to f**k with that. Otherwise, every Swiftie in the world will come after you for the rest of your life,” Dorinda says with a smile.

SPOILER ALERT… Dorinda may have known what she was talking about and may be hiding her true intellect because she correctly pegged Donna as a Traitor from the jump. Businesswoman and icon, of course. Add Traitors icon to the list.

The long and short of it is that she is certainly more shrewd than she may have previously let on and could end up pulling a Dolores Catania — winning the whole thing, I mean. God knows Dolores was pretty clueless throughout all of Season 3 but whatever she did worked out, right?

All of this is to say that I am so thankful to whichever producer, cast member, or general Traitors employee who had the good sense to call Dorinda back up and give her a second chance. I tend to believe everyone deserves a second chance, but especially the ones who are fabulous and cutting in a way that can only be described as iconic.

Will she keep up her unforgettable one-liners and insightful takes as the season goes on? That remains to be seen, but one can surely hope. Dorinda, keep killing it diva and thank you for being you. You make great reality telelvision and for that I’m eternally grateful.

The first three episodes of The Traitors Season 4 are now streaming. New episodes air Thursdays on Peacock at 6 p.m. PST.
