College may be winding down for the year, but it’s already time to go back to school on Prime Video with the new comedy series Overcompensating.

Overcompensating is created by, written by, and starring Benito Skinner, more commonly known online as Benny Drama. Inspired by his own life, the series follows Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player struggling to accept his sexuality, and Carmen (Wally Baram), an outsider on a mission to fit in. It will explore “the lengths to which we all overcompensate while finding out who we really are.”

Charli XCX is among the executive producers on the series, and the “Brat” songstress will also appear in an episode of the eight-episode season.
