Prince William and Kate Middleton might be the future king and queen of the most notable monarchy in the world, but that doesn’t mean they’re good at everything.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been together for more than 20 years. The two met in college and married in 2011; they have since welcomed three kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As the kids have started growing and coming into their own, they have also taken on some hobbies — including one they inherited from their mother.
Apparently, though, William doesn’t have quite the same passion or skillset for the one activity that his wife enjoys so much.
Prince William reportedly can’t draw well
As kids grow, they’re introduced to different activities and hobbies through their parents. The same goes for the royal children; Kate has shown them some of her favorite hobbies, as has William, and it looks like all of the kids have taken to drawing. On February 17, the Wales’ Instagram account shared some drawings created by Kate and the kids during their winter vacation, all of which appeared to portray the Princess of Wales (except Kate’s drawing, which appeared to portray Prince Louis).
The drawings were pretty good for a few kids no older than age 11. It’s clear that Kate’s artistic skillset was inherited by all of them. However, the one person who did not submit a drawing for Instagram was William. And rumor has it William is “really bad” at drawing, unlike the rest of his family. According to Express, William admitted himself back in 2020 that he was “really bad” at the activity. He was on a video call with a group of kids from Pakistan, and they were playing a game of Pictionary when William revealed he was not a good artist. However, Kate jumped in to say that he doesn’t “practice enough,” suggesting he could potentially be good if he tried.
Prince William and Kate’s kids are taking up plenty of hobbies as they grow
William and Kate are doing their best to give their three children the most normal lives possible, and that includes allowing them to explore a number of hobbies. When George was very young, he began taking ballet lessons, and the kids clearly like to practice their drawing skills. They all seem to be interested in photography, too, because William and Kate have credited a number of Instagram images to their children.
Perhaps William isn’t the best artist, but we can be almost certain that his children will pick up at least one of his hobbies as they grow up.
