Reports recently surfaced that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are divorcing after 19 years of marriage, with sources saying that ending their marriage was not the actress‘s idea. Instead, she was trying to save her marriage for some time, but Urban did not want to.

Most of their fans were surprised by the news, but now warning signs that many have missed keep emerging, including a video that has gone viral of how Urban acted during a radio interview when he was asked about his now-estranged wife.

During an appearance on Gold 101.7’s Jonesy & Amanda in Australia, Kidman’s name came up and the moment it did the “Your Everything” singer became very uncomfortable. Urban squirmed in his seat, gave short answers, and even removed his jacket as if the temperature in the room had suddenly spiked.

Host Amanda Keller innocently brought up the country star‘s wife, saying: “Can I ask you, speaking of your amazing love story with Nicole, you met at Good Day Australia. Is that what it was called?”

“Uh, GDay LA,” Urban responded dryly.

“Good Day LA,” Keller repeated, before continuing, “If you hadn’t both been there that day, would your paths somewhere have inevitably crossed? Or maybe this incredible life story wouldn’t have happened?”

“No, I think it would,” Urban said quickly after taking a sip of water.

Keller then asked: “Yeah. Are you a believer in fate, or do you think as two Australians, it would have happened?”

“No idea,” Urban replied.

As Keller and co-host Brendan Jones laughed about whether the universe played a role in the meeting, Urban said, “Anyway, moving on.”

The clip is from Urban’s appearance over a year ago in September 2024, but some believe that judging by the way he was acting, he knew his marriage was over back then.

Urban ended another radio interview when asked about Kidman

Another interview Urban gave more recently has also raised plenty of eyebrows.

TMZ obtained audio from Urban’s guest appearance on Australia’s Mix 102.3 with hosts Hayley and Max.

During a game of “Wall or Truth,” the show hosts asked: “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?”

Urban didn’t just ignore the question, he shut down the interview completely. The hosts realized that when the show’s producer pointed out, “I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question. He’s gone, see you Keith.”

 On Sept 30, 2025, Kidman filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” In court docs, she requested to be named the “primary residential parent” of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. She is currently residing with them at the Nashville property the former couple once shared, while Urban is reportedly renting a place, also in Tennessee, at the moment.
