Back in October 2021, it wasn’t the intimate details of Meghan and Daryl’s relationship grabbing the headlines, but rather their unique bathroom arrangement. Meghan Trainor made waves when she disclosed that they have two toilets side by side, a setup inspired by their early parenting days with their then-infant son, Riley.

During an appearance on the Spotify podcast Why Won’t You Date Me?, Meghan shared, “Nobody knows this, but in our bathroom, there was originally just one toilet. Often, in the middle of the night, when we were up with the baby, both of us needed to use the bathroom at the same time.” She humorously recalled asking, “‘Can we please have two toilets next to each other?’”

She further revealed, “We installed two toilets side by side, and though we’ve only actually used them simultaneously for number two twice, we often find ourselves peeing at the same time.”

When this quirky bathroom revelation captured public attention, Meghan responded to the buzz surrounding their personal choice, telling E! News she hadn’t anticipated such a strong reaction.

“The number of times we both need to go at the same time during the night makes me incredibly thankful for those two toilets,” she explained. “Neither of us has to wait, and it keeps us in sync. It might seem a bit odd, but I love it.”

Meghan also set the record straight on social media.

“We pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again…,” she tweeted on Oct. 6 2021. However, he “will hang out” when she’s pooping, Meghan added, “cuz WE SOULMATES.” And she’s not here for any s—t talk, adding, “i legit miss him when I’m away from him. And we pee together obvi.”
