Back when she first catapulted to fame, she was just a teenager playing the dual roles of ordinary Miley Stewart and her superstar alter ego, Hannah Montana. This was between 2006 and 2011, a period during which Miley Cyrus, the real-life pop sensation, outshined her country singer father, Billy Ray Cyrus. Notably, Billy Ray, famed for “Achy Breaky Heart,” portrayed her father on the show as well.
Among Disney Channel’s most cherished offerings, Hannah Montana holds a remarkable legacy. Its first season’s soundtrack debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert documentary became the highest-grossing concert film upon its 2008 release.
Reflecting on the show’s impact, Miley told Variety, “There were times where Hannah Montana felt like the Beatles or something.”
Since her Disney days, Miley has continued to thrive in the music world, earning her first of three Grammy awards in 2024 for the hit single “Flowers.”
