Casting conversations for Next Gen LA are seemingly in full swing, and Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie Ginella just confirmed that her daughter Kaili Ginella was approached by the production company to star in the potential spinoff.
“She actually really wants to do it,” Katie told Decider when she stopped by our studio. “She was approached by a casting company that also casts for Next Gen. She mentioned it to me, and my husband and I were like, ‘You should do it if they ask you to do it.’ She’d be great.”
Katie added, “I would love to see it.”
Next Gen NYC, which just finished airing its first season, follows a group of nepo babies and children of Real Housewives as they navigate young adulthood and budding careers in the Big Apple. With 5.4 million viewers tuning into the series premiere, Next Gen NYC became Bravo’s most-watched series premiere and season premiere of all time, according to Deadline.
Bravo babies like Gia Giudice, Brooks Marks, Ariana Biermann, and Riley Burruss spearheaded the series, along with influencer Emira D’Spain, model Ava Dash, events planner Georgia McCann, and crypto-trader Charlie Zakkour.
Following the show’s success, it’s no surprise that Bravo would rush to get another iteration out there. Terry Dubrow recently confirmed that his and Heather Dubrow‘s son Nick Dubrow was approached about joining Next Gen LA, while Cynthia Bailey recently revealed that her daughter Noelle Robinson was also asked to be a part of the spinoff.
Moreover, there have been several rumored lists of who else could be on the show circulating online, some of which include Sami Sheen (daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen), former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof’s sons, and even Alabama and Landon Barker, though they reportedly declined the opportunity.
Kaili, however, would be a perfect fit for the show. The 21-year-old influencer has not been afraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to her mom’s co-stars on RHOC. She even put Emily Simpson’s kids on blast after she babysat them, revealing on-camera that they allegedly said negative things about Heather, a conversation that has now spanned two seasons. If this is the impact she’s had on Real Housewives—in just a season and a half, mind you—think of all the entertaining chaos she could bring to a group of kids her own age!
