The drama is heating up in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6.

On Thursday, Bravo dropped the first trailer for the new season of the show, which premieres September 16. Cast members Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, and Britani Bateman are back in the latest installment of the Utah-set reality series, which sees the ladies navigating fragile friendships, family squabbles, and marital tension.

‘Gossip grows like mold’ in ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Season 6

The three-minute teaser offers up a tantalizing taste of the chaos to come in RHOSLC Season 6.

The clip opens with a female priest speaking ominously about how in a “house ruled by image, truth is the only scandal” and warning that “gossip grows like mold in this family.”

Gossip is definitely not in short supply, as the women trade secrets and accusations during a cast trip to Greece, where Angie is hoping to pursue citizenship. This season, they also meet up with Captain Jason Chambers and the rest of the Below Deck Down Under crew during a first-ever franchise crossover.

“Ladies, we’re going to get you nice and wet and get you in the water,” he says. “The other way around,” he adds with a laugh, realizing his mix-up.

Is this season of ‘RHOSLC’ a Greek tragedy in the making?

Back at home, all the Housewives are dealing with their own challenges. Mary is committed to supporting her son, Robert Jr., in his sobriety.

“You know, it’s his journey. And I know God will work it out,” she tearfully says in an interview.

During a visit to a tarot card reader, Lisa confesses that she’s rebuilding trust with her husband. Perhaps it’s because she borrowed money from a “mystery man” in the past, Bronwyn speculates.

Meanwhile, Bronwyn clashes with her disapproving mom, who has recently relocated to Salt Lake City. There’s tension too with her husband, Todd Bradley, as she admits that she feels “misunderstood” by him.

“What if I’m wrong?” she asks Mary. “And I’m gonna look like a fool and he humiliates me?”

Of course, there’s no shortage of intra-group conflict this season as well. Angie’s friendship with Mary is tested, and Bronwyn and Lisa get into a heated argument. Lisa tells Bronwyn she needs to go to school, and Bronwyn fires back, telling the other woman she needs to “go to work to pay those f*cking lawsuits off.” (Lisa’s former business partner is suing her over what he says is an unpaid debt.) The rift between Lisa and Heather also continues to grow this season.

The new season of RHOSLC will deliver “plenty of drama, camp, and hijinks,” Bravo promises in the synopsis. In the teaser, the women dress up in masks and robes to enact a Greek tragedy, don white Colonial-era wigs and tricorn hats, and air their grievances while wearing elaborate Halloween costumes. But sometimes, as Meredith sagely points out, you need to know when to get serious.

“When somebody shows you who they are,” she tells Heather, “you deal with them accordingly.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 premieres Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
