Ricky Bell is a dad!

The New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe singer has welcomed his first child with wife Amy Correa Bell just in time for Father’s Day. The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a photo of their newborn’s hand resting in mom and dad’s palms.

“Been looking forward to celebrating this day, God’s “Mercy” has arrived…Happy Father’s Day!” Ricky wrote in the caption.

Amy also posted a series of photos to mark the occasion, including a touching shot of Ricky holding their baby.

“Super Grateful because today I get to wish not only my dad, but my husband a Happy Fathers Day. Big Hugs to All the Papa’s out there!”

The announcement comes just months after the couple revealed they were expecting. In February, they shared the news on Instagram with a joint post captioned, “Reservation for 3,” along with a photo of Amy cradling her baby bump.

This marks a special milestone for the Bells, who have been married for nearly 20 years. The two tied the knot in September 2004 and have spoken openly about their journey, including the highs and challenges that have strengthened their bond over the years.

In a 2018 VladTV interview, Ricky and Amy hinted at their plans to start a family. At the time, the singer admitted the timing hadn’t lined up due to his touring schedule. “It just hasn’t happened for whatever reason,” he said. “But we’re actually going to plan it at the end of this tour.”

Amy chimed in, adding, “We have to plan it now. Hopefully, I’ll be walking down the aisle pregnant.”

“We’ll see about that,” Ricky added.

While they’ve yet to reveal their baby’s name or gender, Amy hinted that more updates are on the way, commenting under her post, “We will announce more deets soon.”
