Scooter Braun finally gave an update about his relationship with Justin Bieber. Here’s how their relationship stands now.
In 2008, Scooter Braun discovered a 13-year-old Justin Bieber after stumbling on one of his YouTube videos. He went on to work with the singer for the next 15 years before they parted ways in 2023. Rumors of bad blood between them have circulated, particularly after reports that they feuded over money. Braun said he does not have a problem with Bieber and only wishes the best for him.
Justin Bieber no longer has Scooter Braun as his manager
After 15 years of working together, Bieber fired Braun in 2023. Sources at the time said there was no animosity between the two.
“There’s no bad blood,” a source told Us Weekly. “Scooter created Justin for who he is. It’s just a time and place to move on.”
Still, Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, reportedly pushed him to leave Braun. Sources said he seemed more checked out and wasn’t focusing enough on Bieber’s career.
“Hailey has a lot to do with it,” the source said. “She’s rational. [Scooter] wasn’t showing up to rehearsals or concerts like he used to all the time. He [was] pretty checked out… [so[ she [encouraged] Justin to evaluate other opportunities.”
Still, sources have reported that Bieber owes Braun millions of dollars after his canceled “Justice” tour.

Two years after they parted ways, Braun has spoken about the state of his relationship with Bieber. He admitted their relationship is not “the same as it was.” Still, he doesn’t think Bieber has any problems with him.
“I think there comes a point where I understand he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it,” he said on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world you can do it on your own. And I completely respect that.”
Braun said he doesn’t feel any animosity toward the artist.
“I think at this point, that’s what he’s doing,” he said. “Myself and everyone from the old team is rooting for him.”

One year after Braun and Bieber parted ways, Braun announced his retirement from music management.
“23 years. That’s how long I have been a music manager,” he said in a statement, per Forbes. “23 years ago a 19-year-old kid started managing an artist named Cato in Atlanta, GA and my journey began. Along the way I have had so many experiences I could never have dreamt of.”
While he felt grateful for his career, he was ready to move on.
“I have been blessed to have had a ‘Forrest Gump’-like life while witnessing and taking part in the journeys of some of the most extraordinarily talented people the world has ever seen. I’m constantly pinching myself and asking ‘how did I get here?’ And after 23 years this chapter as a must manager has come to an end.”
Braun said he wanted to focus on life with his family, something that was difficult with the demands of his career.
