After Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, many people have put scrutiny on some of his relationships, including the one he had with Justin Bieber. In one widely circulated video, Combs talked about spending 48 hours with a then-teenage Bieber. As Bieber aged, he seemed to have distanced himself from Combs, whether intentionally or not. Combs once pointed this out in conversation with him.

When Bieber was a teenager, he posted a video about spending 48 hours with Combs.

“He’s having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream,” Combs said, per Marie Claire. “I have been given custody of him.”

Bieber also reportedly attended some of Combs’ parties. As time went on, though, they appeared to spend less time together. In one clip, they shake hands after seemingly not seeing each other for a while. After Combs asked Bieber how he was, he pointed out that he hadn’t seen him as often as he used to.

“Starting to act different, huh?” he asked. “You ain’t been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out.”

Bieber’s relationship with Combs has led to some online speculation in the wake of his arrest. His rep said Bieber was not one of Combs’ victims. 

“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” said his rep. “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
