Serayah Ranee McNeill is absolutely embracing the joys of motherhood.
The actress marked her inaugural Mother’s Day on Sunday with a heartwarming series of Instagram photos featuring her baby boy, although she kept his face partially hidden. In her heartfelt caption, Serayah reflected on the profound impact that motherhood has had on her life.

“My little light. I never imagined your love would be so life-altering. I am forever transformed, and you have guided me through many of my uncertainties,” she expressed. “From the gentle kicks in my belly to your first latch, and now witnessing your initial steps, I am utterly captivated by your beautiful spirit.”
She continued, “I vow to always shield your heart, steer you through life’s challenges, and help you rise when you stumble. Being your mommy is a joy I cherish.”
Serayah also shared that she was anxious before stepping into motherhood and initially unsure of what to anticipate.
“You never know what ride you’re up for taking on the responsibility of becoming a mom,” she shared. “As scary and unimaginable it may seem beforehand, your womanly instincts step in immediately! Omgeee I was so nervous about doing everything right and I quickly learned, my body knows EXACTLY what to do. YOU GOT THIS MOMMA! Happy Mother’s Day!”

Serayah and fiancé Joey Bada$$ welcomed their first child together, a son, in June 2025.
Not long after giving birth, the former Empire actress also revealed that the couple had gotten engaged.
“2 months postpartum… Wowww where do I begin?” she wrote in an earlier Instagram post. “First, I want to thank everyone who’s reached out to me, congratulated me and sent me love and support during this new chapter.”

She continued, “I’m still shook, in total disbelief that I’m a mommy now. This is the greatest accomplishment of my life thus far.”
Serayah also gave her fiancé a special shoutout for supporting her throughout the transition into motherhood.
“My fiancé has held it DOWN you hear me! Through and through that’s a good man Savannah. Nah but frfr im so grateful.”
