Serena Williams is relishing treasured moments with her daughters. The tennis icon recently delighted fans with a heartwarming series of images on Instagram, affectionately calling Olympia and Adira her “Momma’s cuddle buddies” as the trio enjoyed some cozy family time in bed.

In the photo collection, Williams is comfortably dressed in striped pajamas and a leopard-print silk bonnet, with her daughters nestled beside her. Eight-year-old Olympia sports a white shirt adorned with rainbow hearts and the uplifting phrase “The Future Is Bright,” while holding a beloved brown stuffed animal. Meanwhile, two-year-old Adira is seated nearby with a blue dragon toy and a Squishmallow, wearing white pajamas with a striped collar. A tablet is propped up in front of them, playing episodes of the popular children’s show, Bluey.

Williams shares her daughters with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit. She has frequently expressed how deeply she values motherhood, considering it even more significant than her illustrious tennis career.

In a conversation with Byrdie last year, Williams was asked about her greatest source of joy. Without hesitation, she replied, “My kids.” Adding, “I can’t say that a Wimbledon trophy holds a candle to volunteering at my kid’s school.”

The 44-year-old also shared her hopes that her daughters will feel empowered when they reflect on her accomplishments and life journey.

“I want my daughters to look at my career and learn that being authentic to themselves is really the most important thing … I also hope my daughters see how many different passions I have — from tennis to beauty — and learn that they can lead dynamic careers and lives across their many interests.”

In another recent exclusive interview, Serena admitted that it is hard for her to leave her girls for an adult night out on the town. 

While walking the red carpet at the Baby2Baby Gala on Nov. 8, the legendary mother-of-two told People Magazine that leaving her daughters still tugs at her heart. “Well, tonight was definitely a little more difficult. I don’t like to leave my kids,” she admitted, adding, “I have a nighttime routine with them every day.”

We are glad that she seemingly shared a glimpse of their nighttime routine with us and we cannot wait for more moments with the girls.
