Co-presidents of Lionsgate’s Debmar–Mercury sector, Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, released a statement about the show’s cancellation on Monday.
‘This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production — which has found strong creative momentum this season — or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,’ they said in part, per Variety.
It was added: ‘We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.’
Sherri launched in the fall of 2022, replacing the time slot originally held by Wendy Williams’s show, which aired for 13 seasons.
