In the ever-evolving digital landscape, technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, shaping the way we interact with the internet and consume content. As browsers and platforms develop, users often encounter compatibility issues that can disrupt their online experience. A prime example of this can be seen in the way outdated browsers like Internet Explorer (IE) grapple with modern web standards, leading to the necessity of conditional comments and code workarounds.

For many years, Internet Explorer dominated the browser market, setting its own path even as the standards of web development evolved. Developers often had to craft specific code to ensure websites functioned correctly on IE, leading to the widespread use of conditional comments. These snippets allowed developers to target specific versions of Internet Explorer, ensuring users received the best possible experience despite the browser’s limitations.

However, as more advanced browsers emerged, adhering to global web standards, Internet Explorer’s influence began to wane. The rise of browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge marked a shift towards a more unified web experience, where developers could focus on creating more streamlined and efficient code without worrying about extensive compatibility fixes for outdated technology.

Despite its decline, the legacy of Internet Explorer persists in the form of older websites and systems that were built with its quirks in mind. For businesses and developers, this means maintaining a delicate balance between embracing new technologies and supporting legacy systems that may still rely on IE-specific code.

As we look to the future of web development, it becomes increasingly clear that the industry is moving towards a more cohesive environment, where cross-platform compatibility is the norm rather than the exception. This transition not only simplifies the developer’s job but also enhances the user experience, providing a seamless journey across different devices and browsers.

A Celebrity MasterChef star was accused of ‘nearly killing’ judge Gregg Wallace twice after they served him raw chicken twice on Tuesday’s episode.

Comedian Eshaan Akbar, 40, shocked the show judges after he presented two undercooked dishes – chicken liver and butter chicken curry.

The writer was shocked by his subpar performance and confessed his poultry horror would ‘haunt him forever’.

Eshaan was visibly disheartened when Gregg and fellow judge John Torode revealed it would have been a ‘knockout’ dish if he had managed to get his timings right.

Tasting his second dish, Gregg quipped: ‘We are a little bit pink in here, which is such a shame because your flavours are magnificent.’

Eshaan, appearing visibly horrified, said: ‘I can’t believe I gave Gregg Wallace undercooked chicken twice in one day, that is going to haunt me forever.’

And while his undercooked dishes surprisingly landed him in the second round, viewers at home were equally astounded and amused as they accused the star of trying to ‘kill Gregg twice’.

Flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their shock as one penned: ‘When they choose a man that nearly killed Gregg TWICE…ahead of you.’

‘Eshaan almost killed Gregg twice, his reward, a place in the next round. Beautiful scenes’

‘Eshaan – brilliant comedian, not good at cooking chicken under pressure!’

‘That’s twice now Eshaan has almost poisoned Gregg. Put him through to the next round ASAP.’

Despite his inedible chicken, the judges revealed they were impressed with his flavour combinations and sent Chloe Burrows to pack up her utensils and leave.

While Chloe was not accused of killing the judges, she did make a huge blunder and mistook her duck for a fillet of fish.
