Tiger Woods finds himself entangled in legal difficulties once more.
In the aftermath of the celebrated golfer’s arrest on March 27 for driving under the influence in Jupiter Island, Florida, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office released his mugshot. In the photo, the 50-year-old Woods faces the camera with an expressionless gaze, a stark reminder of the incident.
This image was made public following Woods’ arrest and subsequent charges related to a rollover car accident that occurred around 2 p.m. local time.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek addressed the situation during a press conference, stating, “Our DUI investigators arrived at the scene and observed that Mr. Woods displayed signs of impairment. They conducted thorough roadside tests, leading to his arrest and transfer to the Martin County Jail.”
While clarifying that alcohol was not suspected to be a factor, Budensiek noted that Woods’ “lethargic” behavior suggested he may have been under the influence of medication or another substance.
“Mr. Woods did a breathalyzer test, blew triple zeros, but when it came time for us to ask for a urinalysis test, he refused,” the sheriff continued, “and so he’s been charged with DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.”
