Shona McGarty was recently spotted without her engagement ring, fueling speculation about a breakup with her fiancé, David Bracken. This sighting comes as she prepares to jet off to Australia for the upcoming season of “I’m A Celebrity.”

The 34-year-old, best known for her role as Whitney Dean on “EastEnders” from 2008 until 2024, will be joining celebrities like Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax, and Martin Kemp in the jungle adventure this year.

Shona was officially en route to Australia after being seen checking in at Heathrow Airport on Saturday, marking the start of her journey.

For her flight, she opted for a casual yet striking look, wearing a black unitard under a vibrant pink shirt. Her freshly done nails, adorned with quirky bug designs, hinted at her readiness to face the wild challenges that await her in Australia.

To fend off the chilly London weather, Shona wrapped herself in a large dark purple fur coat, complemented by trainers, crew socks, and a black cap for a comfortable travel ensemble.

But Shona’s engagement ring was noticeably missing from her finger after it was rumoured she split from David last month, just over a year after the Irish musician popped the question in London’s Holland Park.

The Twitch streamer and YouTuber, 23, checked in at the Emirates First Class desk as he prepared to board a flight.  

It comes after Shona shared a cryptic post about ‘not dimming her light for others’ following her reported split from David.

She took to Instagram on Friday sharing a black and white clip applying make-up, and penned a lengthy caption with lyrics from her new song about ‘finally being herself’ as she marked a ‘new beginning’.

She wrote: ‘I’m finally learning to just be me, no filters, no apologies, no shrinking to make others comfortable.

‘It’s a new beginning, and this time I’m stepping into life with open arms and an open heart. I’ve spent too long second-guessing, dimming my light, trying to fit into spaces that were never meant for me. 

‘But now, it’s about freedom, being comfortable in my own skin, owning my story, singing LOUD, with all my flaws, and my fire. This is the start of really living, fully and authentically.

It was claimed earlier this month that the former couple had mutually called off their engagement, but remain on good terms. 

A source told The Sun: ‘They are on amicable terms, but have ended their romantic relationship. 

‘There are no hard feelings, they realised they wanted different things and are better off as friends. Shona is now focusing on her music and career.’ 

They first met in 2023 after David messaged her on TikTok, asking if she’d like to duet on a song after watching one of her videos.

Last year the actress gushed that she knew the guitarist was ‘the one’ as the relationship felt ‘different’ to previous ones. 

The pair also revealed that they had already started ‘looking at colour schemes’ and locations for their weddings. 

Shona said at the time they were hoping to get married in 2025 and were thinking about a Christmas wedding.

It comes after Kelly Brook was seen arriving at Heathrow Airport as she prepared to jet off to Australia for her stint in I’m A Celeb on Saturday.

Despite upcoming Bushtucker Trials the model, 45, appeared in great spirits and flashed a huge smile as she became the first star to set off down under. 

Kelly cut a casual figure for the long journey in from fitting brown tracksuit which she teamed with a pair of £1,000 Chanel sandals and matching £6,000 handbag. 

Shielding her eyes behind chic shades the stunner was helped with her luggage which had piled high on a trolley.

Back in 2018, Kelly said there would be ‘a million’ other things she would rather do like working in her local pub, than appear in the jungle. 

‘I don’t want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles and all the things they have to eat on there,’ she said on her Heart radio show. ‘Even if I had a huge tax bill and I had to pay it really urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.’
