Skai Jackson is thoroughly embracing the joys of motherhood and all the delightful moments it brings.
In a recent interview on JoeyLive, the actress shared her thoughts on raising her son Kasai, who has just marked his first milestone birthday. Reflecting on this special year, Jackson expressed her happiness and fulfillment in her new role.
“Everything is going really well,” she shared. “My son just celebrated his first birthday, and it’s incredible how quickly time flies. He’s evolving every day, and he’s just so adorable. I truly love being his mom.”
Despite the new responsibilities that come with parenthood, Jackson noted that her daily life hasn’t drastically changed since Kasai’s arrival.
“No, not really,” she explained. “The main difference is having a little person to care for, but he’s such a good baby, which makes things easier.”
In fact, Kasai pretty much tags along wherever she goes.
“Like, he comes with me everywhere. It doesn’t matter if it’s the nail salon, the hair shop, he’s there. It’s just nothing changed. It’s just a perfect addition to my life.”

As for baby number two? Jackson says that’s not on her radar right now.
“Not anytime soon. No. Give me a minute,” she said. “No. I’m still super young. I’m only 23, so I feel like I have a lot of time. If I do have another one, it won’t be until like I’m 30.”
For now, she’s enjoying watching Kasai discover new things.
“His favorite thing is balls. He loves balls,” Jackson said. “He loves to roll balls and throw them. He throws anything around. Loves Miss Rachel. We love her. And he’s a foodie. He loves food.”
Jackson welcomed Kasai in January 2025 with her former boyfriend, Deondre Burgin.
She later introduced him publicly when she shared the first photos of him at six months old.
“Kasai 💙 6 months,” she wrote on Instagram on July 18 alongside photos of the infant wearing blue-and-white OshKosh striped overalls.
