Even in the eerie town of Hawkins, stranger things than monsters can be found.
Fans with a keen eye recently uncovered a humorous editing oversight in the second episode of Stranger Things season five. In this episode, Will, portrayed by Noah Schnapp, teams up with Robin, played by Maya Hawke, as they embark on a quest to locate the exact spot where Will last experienced a vision from the antagonist, Vecna.
A TikTok video posted on December 4 captures the scene where Will and Robin navigate a neighborhood park under the cover of darkness, flashlights in hand. As they near the location tied to Will’s vision, viewers can clearly see two X marks made of orange and blue tape on the ground, likely intended as guides for the actors’ positioning.
The TikTok user, with a touch of humor, captioned the clip with a crying emoji and the words, “Oh no, not the orange and blue electrical tape scene markers.”
Rather than being upset by the minor editing slip, fans embraced it, with some even suggesting that it served as a charming reminder of the show’s production process.
“I actually like catching little details like this to remind myself it’s a show,” one user commented under the clip, while another joked, “I just know someone out there is making an entire theory about those pieces of spike tape.”
