After nearly three years since the heart-rending conclusion of its second season, Good Omens is reaching its final chapter.
The third season of Good Omens is set to debut tomorrow, May 13, on Prime Video.
This concluding season will feature a single, extended 90-minute episode to tie up the journey of Crowley and Aziraphale, diverging from the previous six-episode format of the earlier seasons. The decision to condense the season came in the wake of multiple sexual assault allegations against the show’s creator and showrunner, Neil Gaiman, leading to his departure from the series, with production proceeding without him.
Adapted from the novel by the same name, Good Omens initially centers around angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), who have formed a unique camaraderie while living on Earth. Together, they strive to thwart the advent of the Antichrist and avert the apocalypse that would disrupt their comfortable earthly life.
In the series’ conclusion, Aziraphale and Crowley face a reckoning in their relationship, addressing past grievances and rekindling their connection as the Second Coming, which Aziraphale had ascended to Heaven to oversee, takes an unexpected and perilous twist.

How Did Good Omens Season 2 End?
Season 2 of Good Omens ends as the Metatron offers Aziraphale the position of Supreme Archangel, while giving Crowly a chance to restore his angelic status so they can lead Heaven together. While Aziraphale views this as an opportunity to finally make a difference, a disillusioned Crowley refuses to return to a system he finds toxic, instead proposing they run away together like Gabriel and Beelzebub.
This fundamental disagreement culminates in a desperate, grief-stricken kiss from Crowley, as he tells Aziraphale, “we could’ve been… us.” Ultimately, the pair parts ways: Aziraphale ascends to Heaven, while a shattered Crowley drives off into the night.
