As months roll by without Matty, his friends rally to uncover what transpired. One of them, Lilly Bainbridge, insists she can hear Matty through the pipes. In a terrifying scene, Pennywise’s latest monstrous guise emerges from the screen, claiming the lives of three children, leaving only Lilly and Ronnie as survivors.

Meanwhile, Major Leroy Hanlon is newly stationed at the local Air Force base, eagerly awaiting his wife Charlotte (Taylour Paige) and son Will (Blake Cameron James) to join him. Adding another layer to the eerie atmosphere, Dick Hallorann (Chris Chalk), a familiar face from The Shining, is also spotted working on the base.
