Soap opera enthusiasts and talk show devotees, mark your calendars: the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards are fast approaching.
This year, the highly anticipated event is scheduled for Friday, October 17, and will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. However, for those eager to watch which show clinches the Best Daytime Drama Series award, there’s a change in how you can catch the action. Unlike previous years when CBS aired the ceremony, the 2025 edition, hosted by Mario Lopez, will not be broadcast live on television. Instead, Access Hollywood will feature special segments, both leading up to and following the awards ceremony, to keep fans in the loop.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday, October 17, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. But if you want to tune-in to see which show goes home with the Best Daytime Drama Series honors, you need to be prepared. In recent years, the Daytime Emmys have been broadcast on CBS. But the 2025 event – which will be hosted by Mario Lopez – will not air live on TV. Instead, Access Hollywood will spotlight the Daytime Emmys in a series of segments both before and after the ceremony.
The entertainment news program will feature segments devoted to the Daytime Emmys starting Monday, October 13. On Monday, October 20, it will air an in-depth recap of the awards show, including red carpet coverage and winner reactions, according to Variety.
Can’t wait to find out who the winners are? You will still be able to watch the Daytime Emmys live on the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ The Emmys app (which is available on Roku, Fire TV, iPhone, Android, and other devices), as well as at watch.theemmys.tv.
