Suri Cruise was a sweet daughter as she went to her mother’s workplace on Thursday afternoon.

Mom Katie Holmes has been filming her new movie Happy Hour in New York City with her Dawson’s Creek pal Joshua Jackson.

Cruise looked like she was beaming with pride as she joined her mother on the outdoor set near a park.

Holmes’ 19-year-old mini-me – who goes by ‘Suri Noelle’ – looked like she had a fresh tan as she wore a white tank top tucked into olive green cargo pants with red shoes and a brown purse over her shoulder. 

Holmes wore a multi-colored dress over jeans with her hair up in a messy bun as she held onto a script. 

This comes just weeks before Suri is scheduled to return to college at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.

Carnegie Mellon University’s fall 2025 semester begins on August 25, with on-campus classes starting that day, according to the university’s registrar’s office. 

Last year daughter Suri began college at Carnegie Mellon, after graduating from New York’s famous LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts earlier this year.

Suri has already completed her freshman year at the prestigious college Carnegie Mellon, where she is said to be ‘leaning towards’ studying fashion.

‘She is a smart girl, and she is turning into a very intelligent mature young woman,’ an insider recently revealed to the Daily Mail.

‘She has a very close group of loyal friends, and she knows exactly where she comes from.’

In 2022, Cruise put her soprano pipes to use covering Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart’s 1934 classic Blue Moon, which opened Katie’s second directorial feature Alone Together.

‘Well, I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her,’ Holmes told Yahoo! Entertainment at the time.

Holmes told Yahoo! Entertainment at the time: ‘Well, I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her. She’s very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing’

Katie started dating Tom in 2005 and got engaged to him seven weeks into the relationship.

Their wedding was held at the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in Bracciano in November 2006, seven months after Suri was born.

Katie filed for divorce in 2012 and it was finalized just 10 days later, with Katie retaining primary custody of Suri while Tom was granted visitation, via People. Tom has not been pictured with his daughter in 12 years.

The Mission Impossible action star reportedly paid her a total $4.8M in child support.

The 46-year-old ex-wife of Tom Cruise was in costume as she walked down a city street with her only child.

Their film is a trilogy about love and marriage. 

Recently Katie gushed about her friendship with Joshua in an Instagram post, writing: ‘I am so very grateful to be working again with so many of my wonderful friends on this film HAPPY HOURS. And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship.’

Dawson’s Creek ended in 2003 after six seasons.

They also struck up a romance off-camera, with Katie and Joshua dating during the early years of the show.

Katie told Rolling Stone in 1998: ‘I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year, I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable.

‘I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends. It’s weird, it’s almost like a Dawson-and-Joey type thing now.’

‘He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as a professional.’

After their split, Jackson later married actress Jodie Turner-Smith in 2019. They divorced in 2023. He has also been linked to Lupita Nyong’o.
