Before marrying Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz was married to Mashonda Tifrere. The two tied the knot in 2004 and had a son, Kasseem Dean Jr., born in 2006. Despite initial promises of a lifelong partnership, the marriage ended in divorce in 2010, amid reports of personal and professional tensions. I don’t worry about speaking to him, even about the hard things, and I think he feels the same. I know that I can tell him what I really feel.”

Keys also said she and Swizz “laugh a lot,” as they embrace their “really silly” sides.
