Sydney Sweeney is capturing attention with her eye-catching role in the latest trailer for Euphoria Season 3. The much-anticipated preview has fans buzzing about what lies ahead for her character, Cassie.
HBO has unveiled this sneak peek into the upcoming season, set to debut on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, April 12. The storyline takes a notable leap forward, transporting viewers to “a few years after high school,” offering a fresh perspective on the characters’ evolving lives.
The trailer features a memorable scene where Cassie, played by Sweeney, appears in a whimsical dog costume—complete with a brown corset, tail, and ears. She playfully wags her tail and flashes a charming smile at the camera. The clip also reveals Cassie engaged in filming some provocative content in bed, striking a pose on all fours.
This unexpected moment sets the stage for tension with her fiancé, Nate, portrayed by Jacob Elordi. As Nate comes home from a long day at a construction site, he is visibly upset by Cassie’s online activities. “I work all day,” he exclaims, highlighting his frustration, “and my bride-to-be is spread-eagled on the internet.”
Cassie responds nonchalantly to Nate’s surprise, explaining, “I was just making content.” This exchange teases the complex dynamics and drama that await viewers in the new season of Euphoria.
A brief preview of Cassie and Nate at what appears to be their wedding is also included in the trailer, as they smile for a camera while seated at a table decked out in floral arrangements.
Per HBO, the Season 3 logline goes as follows: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.”
Other than Sweeney and Elordi, other returning stars are Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Series creator Sam Levinson told Elle in a September 2023 interview that the new season would be a “film noir.”
The first two seasons of Euphoria are streaming on HBO Max.
