In 2012, Swift said she had a tendency to overlook red flags in her romantic relationships. Love made her a little less discerning than normal.

“I think I am smart unless I am really, really in love, and then I am ridiculously stupid,” she told Vogue.

And falls in love based on zero hours spent with me? That’s maybe something to be aware of,” she said. “That will fade fast. You can’t be in love with a Google search.”

She noted that because she’s a celebrity, she couldn’t be with a partner who disliked having bodyguards around or who wanted too much privacy. She was also on the lookout for signs that a boyfriend would put her down because he felt threatened by her success.

“If you need to put me down a lot in order to level the playing field or something? If you are threatened by some part of what I do and want to cut me down to size in order to make it even? That won’t work either.”

She reportedly feels she’s found ‘the one’ in Travis Kelce

After years of dating in the public eye, Swift seems to have found happiness in her relationship with Travis Kelce. They’ve been together since 2023. The pop star and NFL tight end have reportedly discussed marriage and are looking forward to starting a family together. Still, sources say fans shouldn’t expect to hear wedding bells anytime soon.

“Taylor does feel like Travis is ‘The One,’ but jumping in is not her style,” a source told Us Weekly. “That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever.”

For now, the couple is reportedly just enjoying their time together.
