Taylor Swift said ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ — which features her boyfriend Travis Kelce — had her ‘cackling and cheering the whole movie!’
Taylor Swift is Travis Kelce’s biggest cheerleader, whether he’s on the field or on the screen.
On Friday, the “Karma” singer took to Instagram to give a shout-out to her NFL player boyfriend’s latest project. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has a notable role in Happy Gilmore 2, which released on Netflix on July 25.
“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie!” she wrote on her Instagram Story underneath an image of the movie’s poster. “An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch in on @netflix as soon as humanly possible.”
Swift also added a honey pot emoji to her post, a cheeky nod to one of Kelce’s moments in the movie. In the scene, a character played by Bad Bunny goes to his happy place, where he imagines his boss (Kelce) wearing nothing but an apron and getting slathered with honey. A bear then appears and mauls Kelce’s character.

Kelce’s appearance in the long-awaited Happy Gilmore sequel isn’t the first time he’s tried his hand at acting. He also appeared last year in the FX series Grotesquerie. And while acting might not be his first talent, he impressed Sandler with his “unbelievable” acting ability.
“He’s so cool,” Sandler told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on The Tonight Show. “He’s a great actor, he’s solid as a rock.”
As for Kelce, he says getting the chance to work with Sandler was a dream come true.
“Man this life is crazy!! Still so surreal I got this opportunity. @adamsandler SANDMAN!! Thank you brotha, for the opportunity and for giving us all Happy Gilmore 2!” he wrote on Instagram. “Everybody go check it out right now!”
