Travis Kelce spent his Thanksgiving on the gridiron, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, his fiancée, Taylor Swift, appeared to show her support from a distance.
The music icon, 35, was notably absent from the game on Thursday, November 27, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Earlier in the week, Swift was present to cheer for Kelce, 36, during his home game on Sunday, November 23, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs secured an overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts, bringing their season record to 6-5 for the 2025-2026 season.
This season, Swift has frequently attended Kelce’s home games, although she has opted for a more discreet approach. Reports from Us Weekly in October suggested that Swift found the growing attention overwhelming. As a result, she has been attending games from her private suite unnoticed. However, she has yet to travel to any of Kelce’s away games this season.
Outside of Kelce’s busy NFL schedule, he and Swift are celebrating their first holiday season as an engaged couple after his August proposal.
“It will be very low-key, family-centric and [won’t involve any] major travel,” an insider told Us of the pair’s holiday plans in October.
With Chiefs games on both Thanksgiving and Christmas, Swift and Kelce want to spend their downtime with their families.
“Travis fits right in with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They talk all the time,” the source added. “They make sure to see both sides as often as they can. They are super family-oriented, and they have always loved that about one another.”
Last year, Swift and Kelce celebrated their first Thanksgiving together after she spent the holiday in South America for her Eras Tour in November 2023. Swift’s family — including her mom, Andrea, and her dad, Scott — reportedly hosted the Kelces in Nashville for Thanksgiving in 2024 before they traveled to Kansas City for the Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders the following day.

As for the couple’s Christmas traditions, Swift was on hand to root for Kelce at his Christmas Day game against the Raiders in December 2023, but she missed his away game against the Pittsburgh Steelers the following year. This Christmas, Swift will likely spend the holiday at Arrowhead Stadium with Kelce as the Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos at home.
Before the chaos of the holiday season began, Swift and Kelce settled into a state of domestic bliss after getting engaged.
“With both of their high-profile careers, it feels good to have simplicity and normalcy together,” a source told Us in October, while a second insider added, “Taylor and Travis are really chill. On a typical night in, they’re casually having dinner and figuring out what to stream. It’s very domestic and calm.”
As for their upcoming wedding, the plans are “coming along,” according to the first source. “They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help.”
Swift and Kelce hope to tie the knot next summer, with her Rhode Island home in contention for the location.
“They don’t want a long engagement,” the source said, noting that the pair “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
