She dreamed a dream …

Taylor Swift had a “nightmare” experience while auditioning for a role in the 2012 film adaptation of “Les Miserables” alongside one of her favorite actors, Eddie Redmayne.

“Basically, I was up for two roles … I had the look of Cosette and the range, vocally, of Eponine, so it was established I was there for a good time but not for a long time — I wasn’t going to get the role,” Swift recalled during Friday’s episode of “The Graham Norton Show” where she was joined by Redmayne.

Swift, 32, explained that she was asked to go to London to do a screen test with Redmayne, who she admires greatly.

“I thought ‘This isn’t an experience I am going to get again in my life,’ so I said yes.”

But things turned literally ugly for the “Anti-Hero” singer when she was forced to dress in costume as Eponine, rotting teeth and all.

The filmmakers decided that Swift should be dressed in “full 19th Century street urchin costume” and told her that they would paint her teeth brown for the screen test.

I was like, ‘You are going to do that after I meet Eddie Redmayne right?’ … But no, they made me look like near death and it immediately became a nightmare for me,” Swift said.

She added, “When I met Eddie I didn’t open my mouth to speak!”

Redmayne, 40, also recalled being scarred from their scene together because of how close he had to get to Swift while experiencing an unfortunate bad breath situation.

“My overwhelming memory of it is that I had just been to Pizza Express beforehand and had garlic dough balls beforehand … and all I could think about was my garlic breath,” The “Fantastic Beasts” actor said.

“You were weeping and I thought it was because of how I looked,” Swift joked, adding, “It’s nice to hear we were both struggling in that moment.”
