Kylie Kelice keeps everyone in her family thinking logically by asking them “can we not do that right now?”
While Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are, obviously, the best-known Kelces right now, Jason’s wife, Kylie, has developed a fanbase of her very own. The mother of four’s podcast Not Gonna Lie reaches millions of listeners each month. On that podcast, Kylie shares her take on modern parenting and other hot-button issues. It wasn’t on her own podcast that the one line she uses to keep her family, including her husband, in line, was revealed. Taylor Swift shared Kylie’s magic line during her record-breaking podcast appearance on New Heights.
Taylor Swift shared the secret phrase that Kylie Kelce uses to keep her family, including Jason, in line
Taylor Swift has spent enough time around the Kelce family at this point to pick up on the subtle rules and eccentricities that are common in a family. She’s not keeping them secret anymore, either. During her recent appearance on New Heights, Swift revealed the one line Kylie Kelce uses to keep both her four kids and her husband in line.
Swift recalled meeting Kylie and Jason at a football game. By the time they linked up, Jason was enjoying himself and desperate to do something a bit reckless. Swift recalled the retired NFL center telling his wife that he wanted to jump through a flaming hoop. Kylie calmly said, “OK, but can we not do that right now?” Jason didn’t jump. Apparently, it’s Kylie’s secret weapon, because Swift reveals she uses the same line on her kids, telling toddlers, “Ok, but can we not do that right now?” when a request is inconvenient or downright ludicrous.
How did the couple meet?
Jason and Kylie Kelce met in 2015 thanks to Tinder. In Kelce, a documentary about the star, Kylie recalled swiping right on Jason without knowing who he was, but knowing he looked familiar. She said his profile didn’t mention football, and he wasn’t in Eagles gear in any of his photos. She initially assumed he was a castfish. Regardless, they met at a bar, and, as she recalls, despite insisting he was interested in meaningful conversations, he fell asleep less than an hour into the date. Kylie opted not to block him immediately and agreed to a second date, which they both admit went much better.
A few years later, they tied the knot. The couple wed in April 2018, during the NFL off-season. A year and a half later, they welcomed their first child, Wyatt Elizabeth. They have added three more girls to the family since. Elliotte Ray was born in 2021, followed by Bennett Llewellyn in 2023. Their newest addition, Finnley Anne, was born in March 2025.
Both Jason and Kylie have transitioned into media careers since his retirement from the NFL. Jason hosts New Heights with Travis Kelce and works with ESPN on Monday Night Countdown. Kylie hosts her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie, which is highly successful, too.
