The KPop Demon Hunters team recently celebrated a significant achievement, winning Best Animated Picture, Box Office Achievement, and Best Song at the Golden Globes.
“We are overjoyed and deeply honored by the Golden Globes’ acknowledgment of KPop Demon Hunters!” expressed the team. “This recognition feels almost surreal, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Golden Globes members, Netflix, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and everyone who has supported our vision over these past seven years.”
The film’s worldwide cultural influence is something the creators are still coming to terms with. They are immensely thankful to the fans who embraced characters like Rumi, Mira, Zoey, the Saja Boys, along with Derpy Tiger and Sussie. These beloved characters contributed to the movie’s accolades in both the Best Motion Picture – Animated and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement categories. “Thank you, Hunters!”
The team also expressed immense pride in EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, 24, IDO, and Teddy for their work on ‘Golden,’ which they hailed as the definitive song of the year. “We’ve dared to dream big, and now we’ve reached incredible heights. Thank you!!” shared Maggie Kang, Chris Appelhans, and Michelle Wong with excitement.
