The eagerly anticipated new season of “The Bachelorette,” which was set to feature Taylor Frankie Paul, a notable figure from “Mormon Wives,” has been unexpectedly canceled. This decision follows closely on the heels of Taylor’s entanglement in legal issues involving assault allegations with her former partner.

The cancellation announcement came swiftly after a shocking video surfaced, depicting a violent altercation between Taylor and her partner, Dakota Mortensen, which occurred earlier in 2023. The footage, reported by TMZ, has undoubtedly cast a shadow over the upcoming season.

Sources close to ABC, the network behind “The Bachelorette,” indicated that they were blindsided by the video’s release, having been unaware of its existence until just this past Thursday. The revelation prompted the network to make the difficult decision to pull the plug on the season.

And the move was made only hours after the site published video of her brutal 2023 fight with partner Dakota Mortensen.

A source told the site that the network, ABC, had not been aware of the video until Thursday.

Her season of The Bachelorette was scheduled to debut on Sunday.

A Disney Entertainment told the site: ‘In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to her representative for comment.
