Cindy Crawford's kids reveal what it’s like to follow a supermodel mom

While Kaia Gerber has recently been in the spotlight for following in her mother Cindy Crawford’s modeling footsteps, her older brother Presley Gerber tends to maintain a lower profile. Still, the 25-year-old is steadily building a career of his own—and credits his mother’s support along the way.

Presley and 23-year-old Kaia, sat down alongside their mom for a rare joint interview with TODAY, reflecting on what it was like growing up with one of the world’s most recognizable supermodels.

During the segment, which aired on May 8, Presley recalled being aware of his mom’s fame from a young age.

“It was definitely the attention, like when people would walk by and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Cindy Crawford.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah. I think. I’m pretty sure it is,’” he said.

Although Cindy introduced both children to the world of modeling early—Kaia even appeared in commercials with her as a toddler and later shared a Vogue cover—she made sure never to pressure them into it.

“You are so not a stage mom,” Kaia told her, with Presley adding, “Not at all.”

Presley has already earned campaigns with fashion heavyweights like Calvin Klein, Moschino, Tommy Hilfiger, and Dolce & Gabbana. Now, both siblings are joining forces with Cindy and their father Rande Gerber for Vuori’s Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, representing the California lifestyle brand as a family.

“I think it’s given my dad and I, and the rest of the family, as well, an opportunity to be creative in a way where we typically don’t all have an interest in one thing,” Presley said. “I think that kind of opened up a new a new door.”

This latest endeavor marks a hopeful chapter for Presley, who has spoken openly about his mental health struggles. In a 2023 appearance on the Studio 22 podcast, he shared how personal experience has fueled his desire to help others.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said.

“[Mental health] is an issue,” Presley continued. “It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it. That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”
