Host Alan Cumming explained that any player who failed to secure a warrant would be eliminated. If both Xavier and Katie completed the challenge by taking a warrant from a public location in full view, Joe and Tomica would have to choose which contestant to recruit. Xavier Scruggs was the first casualty of The Traitors: New Blood Episode 3. After the previous episode ended with Xavier and Katie summoned to meet Joe and Tomica, both contestants arrived with a death warrant. Because they had each completed the task, the Traitors were forced to decide whom to bring into their alliance—and whom to eliminate. They selected Katie, believing she would attract less suspicion, and ordered Xavier’s murder.

Logan Smith became the next murder victim at the beginning of Episode 4 after naming Katie during the Roundtable, based on information he had received from Xavier. The decision may prove risky for Katie, since her name is now prominent heading into the vote expected to begin Episode 5 next week. The question is whether she can deflect suspicion—or whether the Faithfuls will finally identify and remove a Traitor.
