The Traitors: New Blood Elimination—Who Went Home This Week?

Another week, and two more players have been eliminated from The Traitors: New Blood. This show really is the gift that keeps on giving — and killing.

**Spoilers ahead for Season 1, Episode 6 of The Traitors: New Blood**

Four weeks into NBC’s spinoff of the Peacock hit, the season’s Traitors — Joe Vanella, Tomica Adams, and Katie Fites — have claimed two more Faithfuls. One was eliminated through banishment, while the other was murdered in plain sight. That bold move may have exposed the Traitors, but more on that shortly.

As entertaining as it is to watch Alan Cumming smash a portrait and summon his cloaked assistants to remove a contestant, every dramatic exit also means saying goodbye to players we’ve come to enjoy. This week was especially tough, as one of the eliminated contestants came as a major surprise to two Traitors. Such is the bittersweet nature of reality competition television.

So, who was murdered during the wake, and which player was banished at the roundtable? Here’s a quick look at the two contestants who left The Traitors: New Blood in the latest episode.

Who Was Murdered In The Traitors: New Blood Episode 6?

Episode 5 ended with several shortlisted players waiting to learn their fate, so the field of possible victims was already limited. Unfortunately, Niyyah Hayes was the one who died. During the living wake, Joe — positioned in the coffin beside her — admitted that he was a Traitor and revealed that the apple she had picked earlier in the day had sealed her fate.

There was, however, a possible silver lining for the Faithfuls. Victor Vollbrechthausen remains convinced that his “FruitGate” theory — the idea that apples were connected to the murder in plain sight and that Joe and Tomica were involved — could eventually help expose a Traitor at one of the next roundtables. Whether his theory holds up remains to be seen.

Victor’s theory did not gain enough traction this week to send a Traitor home. Instead, the Faithfuls turned their attention to Michael Foote, a smooth-talking New York City lawyer. At the roundtable, players on both sides examined Michael’s strategy, intelligence, and potential to be a Traitor before voting him out of the castle. His banishment left the other contestants stunned and saddened.

Better luck next time, Faithfuls!
