Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has entered a plea of not guilty in response to new rape charges involving a fourth alleged victim.

The 32-year-old was present at Southwark Crown Court, where he officially denied two additional rape charges, according to reports from SunSport.

These latest charges emerged earlier this year due to a fresh investigation conducted by the Metropolitan Police.

Prior to this, Partey was already contending with multiple accusations, as he had previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and a sexual assault charge involving three other women.

Additional charges added to case

Partey is already facing multiple allegations, having previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one charge of sexual assault relating to three women.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2021 and 2022. According to the Crown Prosecution Service, the latest charges stem from a report first made in August 2025.

A spokesperson confirmed that prosecutors authorized the additional counts after reviewing a “comprehensive file of evidence.”

Trial timeline may shift

The Ghana international is scheduled to stand trial on November 2. However, Judge presiding over the case Tony Baumgartner indicated that proceedings could be delayed, with all allegations expected to be heard together.

A pre-trial hearing has been set for May 14 to determine the next steps in the case.

Career developments amid legal case

Partey, who left Arsenal at the end of his contract last June, has since joined Villarreal as a free agent.

His legal team maintains his innocence. Defence lawyer Jenny Wiltshire stated: “Thomas Partey continues to deny all charges against him. He has cooperated with the police throughout.”

She added that no further comment would be made due to ongoing legal proceedings.
