A TiKToker Thinks D4vd is Talking to Discord as Murder Investigation Looms

TikTok sensation and rising musician D4vd has notably retreated from the public eye following the grim discovery of a teenage girl’s body in the trunk of his Tesla. Since becoming a suspect in the case of Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death, D4vd has remained silent in the public realm. However, rumors are circulating that he might be communicating under an alias on Discord, despite the ongoing murder investigation.

D4vd is a suspect in the death of a teenage girl

Back in September 2025, the LAPD unearthed the body of a young girl in a Tesla registered to D4vd, who was touring at the time. Despite the shocking find, the R&B artist continued with his tour while cooperating with authorities to unravel the mysterious circumstances surrounding the case.

After weeks of investigation, officials identified the remains as those of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had vanished a year earlier. Reports indicate that D4vd’s cooperation with law enforcement was short-lived. He soon canceled his tour and relocated to a secret location. Although authorities conducted a raid on his rented home, they only named him a suspect in December 2025. Since then, he has maintained a public silence.

Though D4vd appears to have withdrawn from social media, a TikToker specializing in true crime believes he may still be active elsewhere. Matt Thibodeau shared on TikTok that he uncovered a private Discord server where D4vd’s fans discuss him and the ongoing case.

A TikToker thinks D4vd might be communicating online

Thibodeau alleges that D4vd, or someone impersonating the artist, is active on this Discord channel, sharing information that could be significant. In one discussion, the individual, thought to be D4vd, insists on his innocence and attempts to shift blame for the alleged murder onto his manager.

UPDATE: I just found out that the person claiming to be D4vd is not actually him. It’s a random trying to divert attention and stir up chaos. LAPD has all of their information and can choose to pursue charges if they see fit, as impersonating someone, especially during an open investigation is a crime (sometimes a federal one). Fans of D4vd, believe that they have been communicating with him in a new, private discord. Could this actually him? Take a listen and let me know your thoughts!

According to Thibodeau, D4vd, or someone masquerading as the artist, is active on the Discord server and sharing some telling information. In one exchange, the person believed to be D4vd proclaims his innocence and even tries to place blame for the possible murder on his manager.

Matt Thibodeau argues that it’s unclear whether D4vd is actually on the Discord server. All that is known is that someone using a similar username is posting as the singer. While there are plenty of questions, it would seem on-brand for him. Long before the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body, the “Romantic Homocide” singer spent plenty of time on Discord connecting with his fans. He also served as the moderator of a subreddit dedicated to his music. D4vd was very connected to his online fans. While he can’t do so publicly now, it makes sense that he may look for a workaround, even if it means posting to a very small group.

The public is frustrated with the lack of movement in the case.

While D4vd still has some fans who seem to believe in his innocence, most people associated with the singer have taken a step back from him since the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body. Several brands removed ad campaigns featuring the singer, and friends and collaborators dropped him from social media. His record label has also suspended all promotional activities for the artist. Still, an arrest has not come.

According to various reports, police have honed in on D4vd and, possibly, another individual as suspects in the death of the teen, but a grand jury has not yet finished meeting to discuss the case. While those who have followed the story since the beginning are frustrated with the lack of movement, a grand jury can spend weeks or months combing over the evidence presented. The amount of time it is taking to arrest someone in connection with the crime isn’t actually all that out of the ordinary.

This is a developing story.
