Todd Chrisley shared some insight about his family’s return to reality TV following their release from prison.

During a Thursday, September 18, appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, Todd, 56, and wife Julie Chrisley sat down with the talk show host to discuss their life post-incarceration. Hall questioned the couple if they are “still rich,” especially after spending “$3 million in legal fees.”

“I would never tell you again,” Todd joked, earning a laugh from Julie.

Todd also poked fun at the reports that the couple “came out” of prison “$36 million ahead,” causing Hall to ask if that meant that Todd and Julie “didn’t need” to do Lifetime’s The Chrisleys: Back to Reality “for money.”

Todd and Julie Chrisley Set the Record Straight on Divorce Rumors After Prison Pardon

Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley have had enough of the speculation surrounding their marriage. “Let me set the record straight,” Julie said on the Tuesday, July 8, episode of the “Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley” podcast. “We are not getting divorced.” Instead, the Chrisley Knows Best star and her husband said they are settling back into […]

“No, we only did two episodes, so no, it was not for the money,” Todd claimed. “There needed to be closure for the tail end of this documentary.”

Julie added that “made sense” for their involvement.

“It was the ultimate comeback story. Lifetime, [our daughter] Savannah had no way of knowing the pardon was going to happen or it was going to happen when it did. It just happened, the perfect timing.”

When asked if they saw themselves continuing with reality TV for the next decade, Todd confessed he’s unsure about how long they’ll go, but teased that the Chrisley family will return for a second season.

“I don’t think that I have a desire for that many years,” he explained. “It will continue, it’s going to get picked back up.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Lifetime for comment.

Todd added that his kids, who include Savannah, Chase, Grayson, Lindsie and Kyle Chrisley, “argue” with him “every day” about their reality show run time. Chase, who was present for the interview, joked that his dad is “not gonna mess up my check,” which earned a round of laughs.

Todd and Julie Chrisley Return to Podcast

Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, are back on the mic after serving time behind bars. The couple officially returned to hosting their podcast — now dubbed “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” — on Wednesday, July 16, nearly two months after being released from prison. During the episode, the couple joked to their podcasting return. “What’s […]

However, Todd kept it sentimental, sharing that he wants to focus on his loved ones.

“I want Julie and I to build the home we’re gonna stay in,” he said. “And to help raise our grandchildren and to spend time together.”

Todd and Julie spent 28 months in prison after being convicted of tax evasion and bank and wire fraud charges in 2022. The pair, who maintained their innocence, were released after being pardoned by President Donald Trump earlier this year.

The Chrisleys’ legal woes were highlighted on the Lifetime docuseries The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, which aired its season 1 finale earlier this week. The show gave an inside look at how the family coped while Todd and Julie were behind bars and how things have been since the couple’s release.
